Mooch Better Fishing is a 37 Foot Hatteras Boat that can take 6 passengers. We provide fishing charters and are a charter boat in Half Moon Bay CA. Mooch Better Fishing offers Open-Party Fishing Trips and Whole-Boat Charters. We offer sport fishing for Salmon, Rock Cod, and Tuna or anything else that you want. Captain Duane Winter
Duane Winter is the captain of Mooch Better Fishing, located in Slip G-25 at the 1 Johnson Pier in Half Moon Bay, CA. Captain Dew was born and raised in Michigan and migrated to California in 1980. He is a friendly and knowledgeable fisherman, with over 30 years experience operating ocean going vessels on the California Coast.

Whole Boat Charters
A whole-boat charter is when you want to control who and how many fishing enthusiasts will be aboard the boat on your day at sea. With the boat full of just your friends, family, co-workers, or neighbors, Captain Dew can better provide your group with the best sport fishing experience possible. Don’t forget your camera!
Capacity: 6-person maximum / no minimum
All charters include tackle, rod/reel rental, and bait. Most include fish cleaning.

Open-Party Fishing Trips
An open-party fishing trip is where the boat is available for singles and small groups of people who don’t mind making new friends and spending the day with other sport fishing enthusiasts.
Capacity: 6-person maximum / 4-person minimum
All open-party fishing trips include tackle, rod/reel rental, and bait. Most include fish cleaning.
Sport Fishing
Fishing for Salmon, Rockcod and Tuna. Sportfishing is fishing for recreation. The most common form of recreational fishing is done with a rod, reel, line, hooks, and any one of a wide range of baits. Come sport fish with us today and see how much fun it is!
Crabbing also available when in season.
